Star Wars sold to Disney... Expect Episodes 7,8, and 9

Disney now owns the Star Wars brand. George Lucas will serve as an advisor for the new movies. Disney has promised the next movie in 2015, and at least 2 more movies after that. Do you think Disney will murder the trilogy or keep it alive?

Wow, I don't know. "Do you think Disney will murder the trilogy or keep it alive?" But do you now think Disney's going to turn Captain Kirk into Bozo the clown. Or will Pinky and the Brain now fight the aliens. Or maybe they will offer that crazy physicist, Steven Hawkings a roll in stopping the aliens stealing our resources. You never know, the possibilities and probabilities are endless with Disney Land, specifically if there's aliens involved.

Captain Kirk is from Star Trek. And the rest just went off the rails there.

I'm not sure how these next star wars films will turn out (and the prequels have already left a bad taste in my mouth), but now other talented people can work on these projects like Joss Whedon.

I thought George Lucas already murdered Star Wars with Episodes I-III

    Disney can't do any worse.

I cannot stop crying since I have heard the news. George lucas got 4 billion dollars for that. Thats just pocket change for Disney...
Disney took over a lot of other great industries, some turned out good some turned out HORRIBLE.

I'm happy with a new movie, but I'm afraid of it as well. There is plenty of potential though. *fingers crossed*

I read some sequel to Episode 6 about the remains of the Imperial fleet regrouping and getting powerful again. That might make for a good storyline.

I hope Disney won't screw up the movie and I really am praying they wont put Justin Bieber as part of the cast along with Hilary Duff.

I’ll be annoyed if the x-wings have Mickey Mouse logos on them.

I’ve read that episode 7 is meant to be set about 40 years after A New Hope. In 2015, it would be almost 40 years since A New Hope was released.

I really wish they would have done these a long time ago, all of the actors are so old now, they'll have no choice but to bring in new blood to replace old characters.

I'm hesitant to watch it. It all depends on who Disney has as actors and what the plot is going to be. I don't think it will be that successful because there isn't much to do with the plot. I guess just have to wait and see what they do.
