Did you like the new Star Trek movie or hate it?

 

i like it, except that they didint blow the planet up i TOS :/

 

I'm a fan of TOS. My favorite was the opening scene in the new movie. The rest was enjoyable, but it wasn't Trek to me.

I still love the original classic show. it is the best. I have not seen the movie yet.

 

I really liked the new Star Trek. It is true what they say about it being fast moving and doesn't slow down. Each scene has some sort of action in it. They made it hip / edgy / young. They didn't overly focus on some bad guy that is going to bite it in the end. They focused on the young rebel, against the man, characters.

I was very surprised by some of the actors in this movie. They got some very popular ones.

 

I have not yet seen it but the trailer looks really good!

 

I'm not a fan of Star Trek the show, mostly cause I just haven't really watched it. My friend made me go watch the movie and I really enjoyed it. You don't really need to know anything about the show to watch the movie. It was fun and action packed.

 

Well, no. But this film was based in an alternate reality to TOS caused by Nero's time travelling.

 

It's a great movie. Many non-trekkies are going to see it and loving it. My sister in law who was dead against it at first, saw it and loved it. She was never a trek fan. I've seen it twice. Yes I'm a trekkie. I like the fact that its a different timeline. It opens up a whole new world of possibilities for future movies and hopefully a new tv series. TV is getting so lame. I'm down to Bones and Heros (although thats gotten pretty strange) and occassionaly 24, but how many people can jack bower kill. I think I'll start a post topic about that. Since 24 started, how many people has Jack Bower gotten killed.
