What do you think is best for your adsense ad's and links standing out or blending?

At the moement I have them blending in and they do well, please look at my site here to see what you think I should do.

I dont want my site to look bad but earn alot more or as much as it can.

    Thanks

For content sites blending is the best.

It depends on the site to determine the best Adsense techniques...

Make the width of the site smaller so that there is more text near the Adsense ads. Right now the site is just way 2 wide. Layout change for better Adsense results, assuming the traffic is OK.

I like blended ads the best. Anything that stands out too much seems to take away from the site, diminishing the number of clicks in the process.

The leaderboard ad is to wide and messing up the layout ...at least for me...

I should have said "informational" instead of content, but that's what I call em. Different sites for me: Arcades, Forums, Content (Informational--basically text, no real user interaction), for me all took a while to get what worked the best and I found that different types of sites needed to be optimized differently..

Arcades -> Image Ad+Text Ad -> one of the smaller squares
Information -> Blend with the text.
Forums -> Multi-color palettes used to work the best for me.

I prefer Blended Ads and blending ads looks better than making em stand out IMO

Blending is good but only in a minor way. Too much blending means tricking users.

For me blending is working better.
However that's very subjective. For some sites blending will work well, for others it will be a disaster.
You have to test a few weeks to be sure.

I had blended ads on my site for a month. Than I switched to "multiple palette ads" and the results where quite the same...anyway I think blending gives you better results.

I've tried both before and found blending generated almost twice the clicks.

Either way that works on your site upon experiment.

But I find most of the time blending works better.

I made an experiment with Adsense. I run 5 different adsense types each for 5 days (Blended, outstanding, multiple colors, unique colors, only images). The experiment took me 25 days to find out wich is performing best.

You can read the article tomorrow on my blog ;)
