Does anyone have a copy of some sort of website purchase agreement that isnt too full of legal-ease and that they would be willing to share? I have someone interested in buying one of my sites and they want me to draw up the agreement. Thanks in advance...
I almost sold one of my sites a few months ago. We hammered out an agreement, but the deal fell apart due to an impasse about links. I think it's a good document (2 pages) that you can use as boilerplate. However, I would have to convert it to plain text so that I can delete some sensitive details. PM me if interested.
What exactly are you selling? The domain? The stuff on the site? A company or entity that may own these items?
I am selling a site with a forum on it. I will be selling the domain, the forum contents and the hosting package (basically turning over the whole thing).
Talk to a Realtor, they'll should have a basic fill-in-the-blank type contract for a Business Purchase Agreement. Even if there is no real estate involved...
You might check out Small Business Resources. I have purchased a few contracts there and then had our attorney change anything that pertained to us
I know this is an old thread, but thought, given that this is a legitimate question that the following link might be useful for anyone else looking for a website purchase agreement. http://www.website-purchase-agreement.com
