Does it really make a big difference whether you set your ads to Standard or Accelerated?

    Based on your budget.
If your budget allows you to be online for the entire day then it does not matter if you use standard or accelerated.
If you only cover part of the day then using accelerated will end your budget as soon as enough people search/click your keywords and standard will spread it over the day. Some products convert only during the business hours and not during the entire 24 hours day, so you might want to consider starting off with accelerated and then figuring out if changing it is required.

    Hope that answers your question

if you are in a competitive market with a limited budget, accelerated will suck since you could spend and be turned off by 1am, just 1 hour of starting a new day and not allowing you an prime time advertising

I'm only using the content network though so you don't get that great of conversions as far a clicks as well as sales. I set my campaign to "accelerated" today and only got 8 clicks. If I set it to standard I probably wouldn't get any clicks.

Why would you set your bids high enough to run out of budget by 1am?

If you have $100 per day to spend, and in the first hour you get 10 clicks at $10 each, you're bidding too much.

Pay $5 per click, and you may get 20 clicks in 3 hours.

Pay $2 per click, and you may get 50 clicks in 12 hours

Pay $1 per click, and you may get 80 clicks in 24 hours.

The point is that you can get a lot more clicks for the same spend by bidding less. Why would you want to appear that high???

If you only get good quality traffic in business hours, set your campaign to run only between those hours. I can't think of a single good reason to use Standard rather than Accelerated...

If you want to cut the chase and get going immediately you could opt for accelerated account. It s less complex than the standard account
