Standard number of characters allowed per post?

Does anyone change the standard number of characters per post from 10k to a higher (or lower) number?

Also, besides personal preference, does it affect the database or server is any way? For example if I raise the character count to 20k and actually have only 1-2 posts that are over 10k, will this negatively impact the posts not over 10k or the database in general? Does increasing character count change the database so that it reserves x characters for each post and therefore unnecessarily increase its size?

Ill just raise it up to 50k, I dont see how it can hurt to allow more text than not.

There should be a option in the management area of the xenforo.
