Stand out or blend in?

Hi guys,

I am new with AdSense and I am looking for someone with experience in the matter to give me advice on whether it is better to have ads that blend in to the style of my site and are not intrusive, or ads that stand out and are obvious?

What has worked best for you in the past?

 

blend your adsense ads in google stated that ctr is increased when ads are blended into the look and feel of your website

 

Blending works best for me, but every site is different because of the design/type of visitors etc. The only way to know for sure is to test test test. Use the A/B testing script provided by Google @ thttp://adsense.blogspot.com/2006/08/abcs-of-ab-testing.html

Blend, blend, blend, but also try some default blue link colors. Works for my $15/day.

 

i prefer blending because i dont like my ads to stick out.

 

Put them close to or inbetween your content too.

 

great point I had started to do that with my websites and have seen a good increase in CTR

 

I usually do not like to stick ads in face of my visitors, so I mostly blend.
On very few pages, where content is something you can also find elsewhere, I propose the ads in a more "pushing" way, giving the visitor a good door to leave the page and fill my wallet ;-)

 

Has anyone at all out there actually had a good experience with making ads stand out? As this goes I guess I will be blending

 

Whatever works for you? Test and tweak and log results until you’re satisfied.
