I need some advice from pros, I attempted/used my credit card in shopping online and sending money offshore, and all went smoothly except one thing......the site is asking for my SSS number for the final stage of sending money offshore or in buying something but i lost my papers from fire last april, is there any way i can have a coy of it? Or is there a site u guys can advice which i can purchase products using my card that don't ask SSS numbers?
I am not sure what an SSS number is but could you contact the one who gave you the number in the first place.
SSS is Social Security System....if you have purchase products online using credit card, for sure it would ask for the last 4 digit of your SSS number, like this: xxx-xxx-_ _ _ _, by the way i'm from california but i'm staying in philippines now, i'm wondering how i can get my SSS number there in california through the internet.
I hope anyone here could help me or even suggest a site where i can buy gadgets or anything online with the use of mycredit card number only and the cvv,
Perhaps you could check with the US Embassy in the Philippines, they may be able to point you to the right way. Personally, I have never seen a site or payment processor which requires customers to enter their SSN to make purchases.
Actually there are sites that requires SSS number before the payment through credit card will be accepted. Like in western union online transaction or online money trabsfer using credit card.
1. There is no SSS. It is called the Social Security Administration. The number is referred to as an SSN, not an SSS. 2. If you are trying to get a replacement SSN/SSN card, you can do so here: http://www.ssa.gov/replace_sscard.html
