SSL website and non-SSL links - pop up warning

I have a SSL cert on a dedicated server.

When customers login to their account, a warning message "this page displays both secure & non-secure items".

I have links to external websites that I know this is what it is referring to, as well as a few internal links (those I can edit to secure location).

Is there any way of getting around having the warning message pop up?

I suppose I would have to somehow put the external links elsewhere & have a redirect to the other websites?

The site is the first in my sig - try clicking the Log In link & you will see what I mean.

I sure gave you a few PV looking at that. :)

I don't think it is any big deal. I see stuff like that all the time and it does not bother me as long as the address bar is https. Also the customer always has the option to click NO and your login is still displayed.

I viewed the pages both ways more than once and never did figure out exactly what was diffrent about them.

I know it's okay & you know it's okay, but if grandma in Wyoming sees it, she will probably freak out & leave my site.

Most people just see a warning box & feel something wrong or fishy is going on - without bothering to read the warning.

Found the problem. I remembered that the warnings just recently started showing.

I thought it was because of a few tweaks I did to the site. Well, I removed the G Analytics javascript, and now the warning messages are gone.

Damn! I really liked using Analytics! But not enough to lose sales over it!

    Bye Bye, Analytics!
