Does anyone use a SSH server and Putty to bypass filters and firewalls? I'm am trying to get around this firewall, and I know using Putty to connect to an SSH server using a tunnel will get me past the firewall. Also does anyone have a SSH server of any kind? Thanks.

The fastest way to get an SSH tunnel account is to have an SSH access enabled web hosting plan. Most hosting companies offer SSH access to your web hosting server. I'm with dreamhost and they do.

Once you've got one, you can use putty to set up a SSH session tunnel and make your own computer a socks proxy.
