That's a good question. You should ask that one over at SquidU too.

So you write your article with heavy keyword usage. Is the keyword related to the website you want to promote or some topic like Paris Hilton just to get hits to your lens? Then your squidoo lens has links back to your main site?

Can you help me get some clairity on the overall process?

    Thanks:confused:

I get the most clickbacks to my blog when the topics are related. For instance, on my 80s cartoon lens, I have a link in a link module (like a link list) to my post on Cartoon Crushes. That's probably the one that gets clicked the most.

Umm. I guess I should post my example. http://www.squidoo.com/80scartoons/

Okay, scroll to where you see "Links of Grayskull....etc." See the first two links? The first one goes to a post on my blog about cartoons which, of course, matches the lens subject matter. The second is one of my AC articles - again - it matches the lens subject matter. So, if people are there looking for information on cartoons or just fun stuff concerning toons, they're going to be in the frame of mind to click those links. And they do. :)

I suppose if you were doing a marketing blog and wanted to cash in on the Paris Hilton traffic, you could do a lens on the "marketing of Paris Hilton" and show people examples of how marketing has worked in favor of her and against her and how people might use that for their business.
