AndresS, you should do both. Squidoo lenses rank fast and high if they are optimized properly, so building backlinks to a Squidoo lens that is designed as a traffic filter to your website(s) is very wise. The important thing in the long run is the traffic. The links on the Squidoo lens will count as quality backlinks for your site(s), and the subsequent traffic to your site(s) through the lens will boost your site PR and search engine rank as well. I don't care if you get to my site directly or through Squidoo lenses, as long as you get to my site.
livesol - I see you used the image of the school teacher I created for my site. You used my image and did not even give me a backlink by to my lens. What's up with that?
And you promote your squidoo lens/get it crawled by the search engines by the same backlink methods you would use to promote your main site I assume?
Hey, any suggestions on my lens? black tea lens. Also, overall, do you consider it good, bad, ok? Thanks for any input.
It needs a lot more content. That's for sure. Don't look to sell, look to inform. My lenses have at least 10-15 boxes on them, and rank on their own merit. Hold back on over linking as well!
You can make the lens rank a lot easier than your site, and then simply link to your site with proper anchor text.
Squidoo is a good source to get traffic and get good backlinks, it is true that squidoo results show in google results quickly
