This is good advise. You should be making pages on each network that link back to your main site. Use these web 2.0 networks to build backlinks. WetPaint is a another good one.

Right, don't build a single site/hub/lens, build a network, at least a small one :D

In my experience hubpages indexes quickly and ranks quite well for many keywords. In some ways this is disappointing as it just goes to show that the big sites can rank for any old niche where a single domain created for a specific niche will take a lot longer to out rank a hubpage or indeed a squidoo page.

New? Early? HubPages has been around since 2006, and started less than a year after Squidoo was.

A lot of sites are doing this,in April clickbank banned p2p programs also.I get indexed pretty good but it doesn't bring me traffic so I need better keyword research.
I haven't tried hubpages 100% but my squidoo lense is easier to create.

Does the hub score improve over time, or its based on the quality of each hub?

How did you check your hub pages indexed. There is difference between page cached and page indexed.

Second competitive keywords are irrelevant in the matter of indexing and caching.

Um I don't want to hijack this thread, but since I just joined digital point, I cannot post a thread of my own.

When I started affiliate marketing I started with Squidoo because it was free (this was 12 months ago). Also it was a lot less spammy than it is now and less ads all around your lens.

I have had like 20 lenses locked and deleted, even good ones that werent spammy and that made me angry.

I have an entire account of almost 80 lenses and I want to sell it!
The last few months its been making $50 a month from Squidoo royalties and about $400 in direct clickbank sales over the last 12 months.

    Proof of royalty payments:

If anyone is interested in buying my entire account then please PM me!
Also, I have 409 fans to which you can send out a direct message and cast any one of your lenses, so it is a good way of promoting something. Also, you can add a link to your website from each of these lenses and thus get a good 70-80 backlinks :)

    Just a thought.
Really want to get rid of this account. Im fed up with squidoo and want to concentrate on my own domains.
