Squidoo or Hubpages ?

My vote is for Squdioo.

 

i will go with squidoo. its easier to create a page and it gives u a lot of seo options.

Well hubpages have changed their ways, now each user has a subdomainss. that means each user is on its own, google consider subdomains like a brand new domain, so you can't benefit from hubpages domain trustrank anymore.
So if I had to choose between the two (which I don't ) I'd choose squidoo too.

 

As per all answer i am also suggesting you squidoo is best for website promotion. Squidoo has page rank 7 and hubpages has 6. hubpages is also good.

 

Squidoo is rock.

Using squidoo has it pros and cons.

I wrote one once in support of a kids show. I have kids and I watched the show with them. So I created a lens and yes I monitized it with Amazon and other affiliate links.

I have no articles or backlinks to it. It was an experiment and it gets decent traffic although no sales.

I removed the dual section and the guest book because I was getting the most horrible comments from people regarding being a pervert, child molester, etc. Thankfully, they still have a way to approve or not approve comments. I removed it though, because it hurt just reading the comments. I really love that lens and go back from time to time and re-read it. Most of the traffic, still comes from Google! So it is being indexed. Perhaps if I had more links to it from the article sites, it would get more traffic, but I am into other aspects of web marketing right now.

 

I suggest to go ahead with Squidoo; it has good visibility on search engines.

 

Squidoo all the way. They are changing some things again at Squidoo but mostly for the good. They are very finicky on lens topics especially after Panda, but I have gotten decent backlinks to my sites from lenses.

 

Bottom line - Google doesn’t like these kinds of site.

They downgraded the effectiveness of Squidoo about a year ago, because of users creating pages with the sole intent of using it for inbound links. Honestly, I don’t believe it will be long before it’s a complete waste of time.

Google wants sites that are focused on a set topic. Unfortunately, these sites promote a climate that marketers abuse for easy keyword related backlinks.

But, even with the abuse going on, you can find useful information on Squidoo and Hubpages. It's always worth a try.

 

I prefer Squidoo. The features is much more broad and making a lens is fun too.

both are powerful and have same ability to promote your product. i think you should use both of them.

 

AS for me, I prefer squidoo.

 

Squidoo does not need the unique content otherwise both these are used for the same purpose to generate the backlinks and one thing more for squidoo it get rank quickly than hubpages so a bit in favour to squidoo.

 

Squidoo works well after the latest Google Panda Update. Hubpages not.

I'd say that they are both good for backlinks, and also directing the potential customer to your money pages. I personally aim to get a click to my site from these 2 places.
