Agreed...there are some better ways, but it's one part of the process.

    Actually your rules su*ks!
I was a very big fan of hubpages till you introduced these rules. Personally I thought Hubpages is much easier to use compared to Squidoo.

I had several hubs with score above 60. But just because my personal hubber score was less than 75, all my hubs carry "NOFOLLOW" tags. So according to hubpages, a person with low hubber score can't make good hubs?
Why do you worry about, who makes the hub? You should be more worried about what is in the hub.
Infact, your rules are getting abused. Some of the high scored hubbers are charging money to create hubs for others. Is it the way you want?

It is your site and the creators of the Hubpages got all the rights to introduce any sort of rules. But according to me, it's not worth my time especially when I can get backlinks from sites like Squidoo without all these troubles.

Just my opinion. Others may have different views. :)

I don't know what your score is currently, but it's not hard to bring your Hubber Score up to 75, with a little participation and/or publishing quality content. One of our users, darkside, has written a great hub explaining how HubScore works and how to easily improve it, if you're interested. I can't post URLs here, but you can find it by navigating to HubPages.com and searching "how hubscore works."

The idea behind our policy is this: invest a little in us, and we invest in you. It's a win-win situation. Give us good content, and we give you followed links, traffic to your site or blog, AdSense revenue, etc. It seems a pretty fair exchange.

I hope this serves to clarify.

I only have 2 lenses on Squidoo. I just don't have the time to create 50+ lenses. If you have a load of lenses with low ranks on squidoo will you still rank high in google?

Each lens will rank on it's own individual merits - it doesn't matter how many you have.

Squidoo is much more easy to manage than anybody else and it really helps your site to boost up.

I suggest to create more lense for your websites and manage them well.

    HI Maddie,
Good to hear from hubpages directly. I have a question. Will my score lowers if my hubtivities on hubpages is not high? Meaning if my activities on hubpages lowers after i had meet your 2 requirements for "dofollows" ?

btw, i see your point of having a win-win situation and am willing to contribute value to get value.

    thanks

Just 2 days and i managed to get dofollow enabled on Hubpages.
    Its actually quite simple.
    1) Post at least 3 quality articles
    2) Make useful comments on other hubpages
    3) Be a fan of other hubbers

Just watch you hubscore rise and before you know it, you are way getting lots of linkjuices. Keypoint: Make useful contribution as it will help all of us in the long run :)

Do give it a shot if you are new to this: Hubpages Signup

Im writing in both Squidoo and hubpages –

Hubo is much more fun, faster and easy to use and as long as you really participate and not just spam you can expect some decent traffic.

Try hubpages, its a great site!
