i would like to know that what exactly is squidoo lens and to what thing is it related

i dont even know whether i have posted the thread in the right section or not because i dont know under which category it would come

and moreover how can i earn from this by offering it as a service

Squdioo allows members to created "Lenses" to share something they found interesting. Its like a big "how to" but also looks at current affairs and any topic you can think of from premiership pictures to Bruce lee.

Squidoo is a site where you can create you own page with your own content. You can link to external sites of your choice as well. People use Squidoo lenses for various different reasons. some use it for backlinks, some to make money form affiliate programs, clickback marketer use it as a landing page, etc.

and it is dofollow

 

Squidoo is nofollow the first 24-48 hours after a lense is created, then it turns dofollow...

No idea waht the logic is... but that is how it goes

 

Squidoo lense is a mix up of blog and social bookmarking site.
Primarily, it drive traffics to my sites/blogs.

 

The thing with Squidoo is that is it really popular? Prior to coming to these forums I had never heard of it - never saw a squidoo page, nor interacted with it in any manner. Same goes for fellow colleagues. Most of the searching that I do and i do quite a lot, I've never come across a Squidoo lens.... so really don't understand what's the rage all about squidoo!

 

They become do follow with multiple content channels. When you revisit them to showe they are still active they will often flick to do follwow

 

You can also create a page on the site in my signature and get a backlink via your profile page... Could be helpful for driving some traffic.

 

It's not just a way to build links. Many people make a good, steady income because they've made quality lenses that rank well.

I just checked the code on one of my lens, and the only nofollows are for the links to the social bookmarks and advertisers. The ones coded in to the page by me seem to look good.

Sign up for squidoo, at the dashboard click on create new lens now, then follow the instructions, set up the widgets the way you want, add the text you want, publish it, join groups with it, and have fun.

 

Squidoo lens can be good income source.

Squidoo lenses are very well reputated in searhc engine.
and they have dofollow term enabled, so people use them for PR link juice.

 

Squidoo and HubPages are both very useful online pulishing tools that allow you to publish web pages. You can share whatever information on the web pages you created. However, please read their terms and conditions before publishing. The main difference between both of them is that Squidoo allows adult materials and they don't have links constraint. Whereas, HubPages only allows maximum of 2 links that refer readers to other websites other than HubPages's web pages.
