Fam I need your assistance on something. I just set up a Squidoo lens and I have outgoing links to my squeeze page. I'm using hyperlinked images and anchor text. The problem is this; when I click on one of the links, it takes me to my squeeze page but the images on my squeeze page aren't showing up...It only shows little red X's (By the way, this is also happening with my Wetpaint site). But when I put my squeeze page's url in the browser, my site shows up just fine. HAs anyone had problems like this with Squidoo or Wetpaint? If so, how did you fix it? Also, could it be my squeeze page?
I've never seen that before. Usually this would be either your browser or your site causing the problem. My only other guess is that if those sites are opening up your page from within their site. I forget what that's called but other than that I don't see why that would happen. Have you tried this from different PC's and browsers?
Jericho, i appreciate your response. I figured out what it was. For some reason my website does NOT load correctly (images not showing up...only red X's show up) when I put "www." in the url. But it loads just fine WITHOUT the "www.". So, i've discovered it's on my end but I don't know how to fix it. It's a big deal because if someone types in "www." in front of my url and it looks like garbage then they're gone. So i need to fix it. Do you know what I should do to fix it?
hmmm, did you have something called hotlink protection on at your host? That means you are protecting your bandwidth by not showing your images to others people site?
