Squidoo lens and Hub pages are promoted in a different way then website and a blog.

Squidoo basically has ranking system, when you publish your lens, it gets some ranking. After publishing one lens, you can submit it's link or promote it on different social bookmarking sites as well as on different social media profiles. You should then find the different lenses based on the same topic on which you have written something. Try to read those lenses, comment on them, tell them about your lens, join the author fan club, send them private message. You can also link roll to any high ranking lens, and provide rating to other lenses. You should try to link roll the high ranking lenses with your lens. This way you can get more and more traffic to your lens and if you have good content then people will automatically link roll to your lens as well. This is how you can get good ranking and good PR for your squidoo lens. There is one more point to remember that squidoo lens ranking can go down if you will not maintain it properly, so try to put some fresh content or any new information in your lens so that user can always find something new to read about.

Hub Pages also has similar kind of approach. Here we prepare a hub page, which gets some scoring point based on it's content quality and keywords. OUr profile also gets some score. Once we publish a new hub page we should try to promote it on different social media and book marking profiles. You also need to interact with other author present on hub pages, who have similar kind of interest as you have. Try to comment on their hub page, let them know about your page, ask them to comment on it as well, join their friend group, keep on providing fresh information every time.

Normally Hub pages link are No Follow, but once your profile score crosses 75 and your hub score reach to 60 your hub page links become Do Follow.

Both Hub pages and Squidoo lens require dedicated effort and time as till the time you keep on working on them, they will get good ranking but as you stop working on them, their ranking will go down and your effort will go in vain.

This is basically it but you can also try for squidoo to become the lens of the day. This lens will be emailed to a lot of people and this way you get a lot of traffic too.

Yes all methods will be same but if you post comments on other hubs or lens with your lens or hub link it will be great.

    Try this as well

    - Bookmark your lens or hub on bookmarking site
    - Submit an article to article directores using services like articlemarketer or isnare. This can create lots of backlinks to your lens or hub
    - Submit the feed of your lens or hub to RSS aggregators. You can also combine multiple feeds (example lens + bookmaring site feed) using services like rssmix and submit to aggregators

    Hope that helps,

I'd suggest asking the question on SquidU for Squidoo. The same information would apply to Hubpages.

Actually, taking part in the Hubpages and Squidoo forums goes a LONG way toward getting visitors and possibly ratings, if the visitor likes what they see.
