Guys, question: when I build my Squidoo pages I see they put Infolinks and Adsense on it as a default.. Do they pay me for those clicks?
do u know how much is the percentage we got from squidoo's adsense sharing? and how about hubpages? is it 100% all adsense clicks belong to us?
Yes, the percentage will be given to you. Still i think that this is really good way to earn as Squidoo is a big community and this will help you to earn more.
this is revenue sharing so anytime someone clicks on those ads, you get paid a certain % of the revenue
I think squidoo or hubpages can be better used for linking purposes, but hey earnings from adsense still welcome
Depending how many articles you plan on writing you are probably better off creating your own site and earing 100% of the adsense
thanks for the info... Question: when those clicks/earning will start showing up so that I see statistics of traffic to my lenses? I have been running lense for about 4 days now and one of them is in top 1000 Business
really i though squidoo is just for spamming lol.. so they're like bukisa.com and hubpages. does squidoo pay per view of the article? i'm signing up
I have never try.. but it gives pay revenue and cut it some percentage.. website and blogs are better then this.... so you will try it on this....
Squidoo gives me a steady few dollars a month. Got my biggest payday this month. Here is a breakdown, but it is not an exact science, just what I have learned. They don't want people clicking their own ads, so it is not a % of clicks on your site. You get a split of the total they take in, depending on your lens's rank. They have a break down for being in the top 100, top 1,000, top 5,000, top 10,000, etc. When you get past about 20,000, you get squat as far as that goes. Maybe a penny or two. The big money is in the top 5,000 lenses. You get a nice cut. Top 1,000, even bigger. I have made that twice with a Lens of the Day. Then, there is the revenue you get for selling amazon items directly and indirectly. The percent of these is given only to you. The percent is actually quite high. Mine seem to be at least 75%. You also get paid for "clickouts," and that is factored in with everything else. They have ad revenue from other sources as well which they split. Bottom line, have a ton of top-ranked lenses and sell amazon items. I have not been successful selling other items they offer such as ebay, cafepress, etc. If you do a search around squidoo, there are lenses that will break the profits down even more. Don't expect to get much if you have a lens lower than 20,000, few click outs, and are not selling a thing. In fact, a way to get a lens a higher rank is actually to sell items. The more items you sell, the more they like your lens. Stephen C
Hi Stephen, Thanks for your explanations. But I think It's better also to make our own blog with our own domain. Isn't It?
thanks a lot for sharing.. If my lens is in top 200 in Business and 10 000 overall do I get paid for Google clicks as well? How that works? How do they rank lenses? traffic?
Oh all my squidoo lenses are in conjunction with domains, blogs, twitter, facebook, etc. Squidoo is one heck of an authoritative site when it comes to back links. Well, some lenses I do for fun. One I did for fun and it is PR4 and ranks first page, almost zero backlinks. They have modules for your blog and twitter feed. The payout for squidoo is only $1.00 and paid automatically to your paypal account. All you have to do is set it and forget it. A lens in the top 5,000 would get a payout of $1 easily, I'm guessing. I don't know what their TOS is, so I all I will say is that mine paid out way more than a buck. Squidoo pays 2 months later. That is, my February payout was for December, I believe. They even pay you to recruit people. I have over 50 lenses, so the money does add up to a pretty good deal. And I'll tell you what. Getting paid and having top notch backlinks is pretty cool. And you can even sell your lenses! If you are not using squidoo, you are losing out. I would skip blog commenting and article submitting and in its place do squidoo. Much more easier and profitable.
