I have this confusion with blogs and squueze pages and how its content is to be distributed. What I keep having in my head pop up is why have a blog if you have a squeeze page. Like if you have a squeeze page and you captured peoples address, they will still be receiving content from you. You can just kinda keep sending the information. Isn’t this the same as having a blog that has content except you are just getting it via e-mail. Why have a blog… I don’t get it. I hear money is in the list and I just see that a squeeze page is more beneficial. They will have everything in their face. Like an e-mail they get they will have it right in their face that you are promoting something and on the other hand with a blog, they have to look for that spot because of all distractions. I’m just so confused… can some explain me the main goal purpose of each and what is each trying to do. I’m talking about a blog and a squeeze page where you get e-mails with content. Whats their take on what they’re trying to do. Also if you have an optin form in your blog to get a free report or something, what else woulc you be sending them besides something to sell. If you are going to send content too, but why would you do that since all the content is on your blog. Can someone fix this confusion for me too. Sorry for these questions, I just had to get if off my head reaaallly bad. Thanks in advance to whoever read this and somewhat understood,… I greatly appreciate it.
These two article will explain to you and hopefully make it clearer http://ezinearticles.com/?Why-Blogs-Are-Important-to-Your-Internet-Marketing-Business&id=3645909 http://ezinearticles.com/?Building-a-Profitable-Online-Sales-Funnel&id=1950785 Essentially your blog will draw traffic and give your site a boost in the search engines due to the frequently updated content. The Squeeze page is where you collect the details of a prospect and you probably want to offer something of value for free in exchange for their email address or something. Theres plenty of free niche content out there to compile a free report this shouldnt be too difficult you could even give a preview or overview of the main product you are selling. You would then follow up by auto responder giving them free tips or content related to your niche or point them in the direction of something useful in your niche. After you have done this a number of times you are warming them up to purchasing your main product and hopefully by then they will have some trust in you and may be ready to purchase. A squeeze page isnt the be all and end all it depends on the keywords you are targeting as to where you direct the traffic if the keywords represent dead on buyers then you can direct them straight to your sales page if they are more reasearch type customers who arent quite ready to buy yet you could direct anyone coming through this to your squeeze page. You could also promote your product through your blog and link to your sales page from there.
Blog will give you search engine traffic.. and also for your audience to interact with you through comment on those blogs and it attract search engines and you can cater to those who do not like receiving emails.. squeeze page is supposed to be light in content.. whole point of it to get the email address and up sell
