Hi Admins/Staff. Is DP currently facing any major SQL problems? It's just that over the past day, I've noticed DP has been running just a tad slower, my posts are taking a while to actually show up, and sometimes once I've viewed a PM I get another pop-up message about the same PM... Just wondering if everything is okay server side?
It's not major slow... Just a little slower. And posts take a while to show up after I post them sometimes.
Even i am a victim, whenever i make a post it tells me you must wait 29 seconds before making a post altough my reply is posted, and the ajax function for posting new replies and editing posts isnt working either.
Another issue I just encountered... When I login, I'm redirected to where I was as if I wasn't logged in at all... And then I have to refresh in order to be shown as logged in.
Can there be an update on this issue Shawn, it's still occurring for me when I login, on several different computers. Think I've tried it on three different PC's now, and on every one the same thing happens.
There is no update to the issue. It's not something we are seeing or other users are reporting. Maybe your upstream provider is doing some weirdness with an upstream proxy/caching server or something, but whatever it is seems to be specific to your setup somehow.
Actually there are some other DP members experiencing this issue, when logging in it redirects me to where I was however I'm not logged in for some reason, then 2-3 refreshes later I'm finally actually logged in. This occurs on no other forum I visit, and other forums I visit include vBullletin4 ones.
Sure sure... most likely something specific to your setup and the other users then (maybe some anti-virus software you have installed or something that is deleting your cookies). Either way, it's not something we can really look into on this end if we can't get it to happen ourselves.
I will experiment with possible solutions by disabling certain programs but I doubt it will work... Thanks anyway.
There have been reports of Norton and other anti-virus software doing weird things like deleting browser cookies... So if you have any anti-virus stuff, it probably would be a good place to start.
Thanks, I will check there first although since I have no problems on other sites, I'm not sure if this will be the case... But I will check for sure.
Me either : Also I see another user is complaining about this issue here : http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2158503
Wow, what were those problems we had there Shawn? Didn't post all day yesterday because I was constantly getting them everywhere... Damn annoying!
