I have a problem on my computer.IE is starting without clicking it.On my screen I see some things I never installed. My Antivirus (AVG) keep finding trojans and although I delete them or move them to the vault it keeos finding new ones. What should I do?
I scanned my computer twice with AVG,Spybot and Adaware and I cleaned everything they found. But the problem is still here.
What can I do to fix it?

    Simple solution? Get a mac.

I had a ton of crap on my computer - my girlfriend fixes computers to earn money, she got remote access and fixed me up, lol.
Right now, I have ncleaner, ccleaner, beclean, spybot, adaward, Nod32, and spyware blaster.
I don't know which ones work best - I'd just suggest to go through them.

I hope this would help. Before continue, make sure you have backup all documents and important files. Excluding the exe files.

Would you be able to boot to Safe mode? If yes, try this,(eventhough it is a long way, but it does help, cos i did save almost 100 of pcs per month.)

    1. On normal mode, go to "Start" button, then click on "RUN". Type in "msconfig".
    2. Select the Boot.ini tab, and then select the safeboot option.
    3. Apply and it will ask to restart your pc, select restart.
    4. Once it has restart, it will goes to Windows Safe Mode, where little file will be load up, but not to forget some spyware will be loaded too.
    5. Now once it has finished loading up everything, first thing you need to do, clear all cookies and temp files, also same goes to offline temp files.
    6. Clearing cookies, offline temp files : You can right click on the IE icon and select properties, then you will see a pop up menu, you'll notice the clear cookies button, same goes to clear temp files.
    7. Once you've done all the 5, and 6, try use Spyware Search and Destroy program to scan your system. While it is scanning, make sure you grab a pen and a paper to wrote down certain filename which is unable to clear.
    8. After few minutes of scanning, i am sure there is some findings in it. Now write down the names which is unable to clear or delete. (Take note 1)
    9. Now use your AVG to scan your system. Same thing, take note of those which is unable to clear also. (Take note 2)
    10. After scanning and clearing, if there is still files that couldn't be cure, proceed here. Go to Start, RUN and then type "Regedit". (Make sure your copy of Installation cd is ready). A regedit program will start up, search for all the filename in Take note 1 and Take note 2. Delete all the keys which is related to the filenames.
    11. Setting it back to Window Normal mode. Go to Start -- RUN -- msconfig, and deselect the safeboot and restart.

Proceed below steps if windows doesn't start-up, sometimes, spyware or virus my even corrupt some files and making your windows to be unbootable. Don't worry, all the files will be remain. I mean all the softwares that you have installed.

    Last Step :
Proceed only if your windows fell to restarts, or even it is started normally.

    1. Bootup using the Windows XP installation CD.
    2. On the first screen, press Enter instead of "R" cos it would help to repair there.
    3. Next, press F8 to agree on the terms and agreement statement.
    4. Now you press "R" to repair the windows.
    5. Let the windows installation do all the things, copying and repairing.
    6. Once it is finished, i hope this would help.

After you've done all the things above and all things goes well, make sure your try check out this : On how to install OSes in less than 45minutes, it might help if you read through.

    Regards,
    David Cheong.
