How many of you are using spun articles for article marketing?

And have you noticed any difference in the results vs when you submit the same article over and over?

I occasionally use articles that have been spun from an original. I drip those spun versions out over time and it seems to work well. Depending on the competitiveness of the keyword, you can grab multiple first page listings that way.

The problem comes in trying to get them to clickthru the link in your sig. You have to reply on that for actual traffic.

I think spun articles are going the way of the dodo...sure some get good results with it but the algorithm advances daily and it will be seen as duplicate unless you take considerable measure to ensure originality. Outside of fears of duplicate content I noticed a well written article can be duplicate but rank well in multiple directories as long as people are linking to it. In my experience Quality > Quantity...of course you want to work with some bulk but churning out trash won't get you as far as people lead you to believe.

in my opinion, spun articles are usually rejected.
i dunno about your case, but perhaps it's the quality of my spun ones.

My experience is that spun articles get indexed more frequently, while duplicate ones often end up in the supplemental index.

From what I have found the magical 30% unique number is no longer working. I've been getting better results at 45-50%. Most of my stuff that is below that is getting little to no search engine traffic.

If you want me to be completely honest, neither will get you anywhere.

Spun articles make no sense on a user point of view and even though they'll get you some links, you may get banned on the ezine websites.

Duplicate articles, on the other hand, get deindexed easily and may help your website rank down.

Focus on original content even if it's a bit expensive as it's well worth it ;)

Real content always beats spinned articles. But a trick I use is to search for articles written in my first language then I just translate them into English.

At the present spun articles are better than duplicates, and original will always be the best, but really depends on how good the article is.
