4 sub sections in a url (example) dogs. com/ todays best dogs/ november 2011/ nov 14, november 15, nov 16, nov 17 each day of november is a seperate page. I link back from each of the "nov 14, nov 15" pages to the page "november 2011" where each day is listed and linked to. But adding an extra link back to "todays best dogs"page from each of the seperate days pages would be thinning out the juice pointlessly and lowering the juice that "november 2011 page" would recieve without the extra links. this is my understanding. Am I wrong? does the juice flow depend on keywords used or linking alone? What would be your practice?
well I have created two seperate experiments one that uses many links to link every possible combo of subpages toegether and one experiment that uses the fewest internal links possible. I will leave it for a month or two and see how the juice is flowing. I would really like some of the experienced masters input on this though. NO responses? am I doing something wrong? Was this a stupid or already answered question? I searched quite a bit for an answer
I think the flow of navigation is more important. The bigger your site is the greater the internal linking is. The smaller your site is the less work you have to with internal linking. Again the key is ease of navigation. Any comments?
of course it will thin it down. but if one of your nov 14/15 is ranked higher in SE then the whole matter will be different .because then the link juice will pass to the todays best dog page. right?
If your site is a large one you should still make sure that the number of clicks from the home page to the bottom most page in the hierarchy should not exceed 4. That will control the flow of your link juice.
