Selling SportsOnlyAuction.com Website, Database, Forum + supporting domains

This website and domain are a sports related auction and forum. I have a handful of other domains that also go with this such as sportsonlyauction.net, sportsonlyauctions.com, sportsonlyauctions.net. I have not been charging any fees in order to entice members to signup and list their forsale items.. And so, because I am not charging any fees, there is no income to report.

The auction software is an ASP platform by rainworx.com and would cost you about $1000 alone. The forum is an older invision power board and probably needs a current valid license, but the auction script is lifetime.. This website is on its own dedicated server and I am paying $160 a month for it. You can feel free to move it to a shared server or your own dedicated or whatever you want - you are not locked into the current server at softlayer.com. Your server (either shared or dedicated) will have to support ASP or be a microsoft server as that is what it is on now. The forum however, a PHP platform and can run on either linux or microsoft..

This website needs someone who has the time to promote and manage it. I do not have the time or interest and want to focus my attention on my other websites. Once there are more listings, and properly promoted, this sports auction website could very easily start earning an income right away by turning on the fees. I have had them off as I said, to inspire people to join and create free listings. Now that there is decent traffic and some listings starting take place, things are improving. There are quite a few recent and valid transactions that take place on the site.

I have no idea what this website is worth, but the traffic alone should be worth the BIN price, but I am open to offers. I will also stand by and assist and train the buyer for as long as necessary so that you fully know how to maintain and operate the website. I will not leave you hanging with a website you don't know what to do with. There is a very interactive back office / administration area that allows you to manage pretty much every aspect of the website for both the auction listings and the forum.

interesting side note... I tried listing this website here forsale last year - actually 1-1/2 years ago (january 2010), and didn't sell it.. If you want to see the listing, I just noticed, I still have it in my signature. As you can see there has been growth even though I have not done anything what so ever. If someone were to take this over and get serious, you could turn this into a serious income opportunity. This website will be an amazing head start for anyone trying to make money online

 

the website is still for sale, I just cut the price in half from what I listed last year. The stats have obviously changed in a year - for anyone that might be interested in what the new stats are and if you're seriously interested let me know and I'll update you. If it doesn't sell in a few days, I'll keep it and start promoting it again after I do a software upgrade.
