Selling Sports Website with Large Twitter Following

Why are you selling this site?

I am working on new projects and just don't have time to manage the site. I also no longer have an interest in sports, so I'm just not a good fit for this one. The site has a lot of unique content and thousands of pages indexed in Google. It also has more than 23,000 twitter followers, so it is set up to be a strong marketing engine for someone who is looking to market sports products or services, particularly sports betting. Site has hundreds of unique articles, but also has some content supplemented with press releases that received little to no distribution (quasi-unique). Additional details can be found at:

How is it monetized?

The site is not presently monetized. I use to just sell ads directly to handicappers and sometimes use affiliate links for sportsbooks, but all ads were removed on January 1.

What challenges are there with running this site?

Must be familiar with Joomla or have the ability to learn.

 

Please note that the site is currently down. My associate wanted to upgrade the php on the server and neglected to install it as a dual environment, despite my specific instructions. All I can do now is wait for the host to reinstall the previous version. I am lowering the reserve price because of this, and will consider lowering the BIN on request.
