I have a great opportunity to get ads for a former sports celebrity (who is still relevant in his field even tho he doesn't perform any more) and wanted to know what to expect with just adsense. I realize we will do more than just adsense, but we are trying to get an idea of expectations of income. Last month he got 24million page views and this month is on track to do over 50 million. Is there any way to know approximately what that would convert to? We will start with adsense because it's quick to put up, but will eventually go to doubleclick or something like that because he's a big name in his sport. Thanks,
An awful lot for that many impressions. You sure you are getting 50 million a month? If you assume a click through of 1% and 10 cents a click that would be $50,000 a month if my math is correct.
Well as of the 15th of this month he has 32 million page views, so 50 isn't out of the question. Awesome. What do most agencies charge to get advertisers for clients? LIke 30% or something? Is there a top end that google stops paying at? I mean, do they really write you a check for $50k in a month?
He'd probably make out pretty well. Google does indeed pay some publishers tens of thousands of dollars a month. With that many visitors he should be able qualify as an Adsense Premium publisher, which would provide more options for formatting, technical support etc. http://www.quickonlinetips.com/archives/2005/03/google-adsense-premium-service-make-more-money/
