Sponsoring Templates??

Hello,

I seen some people selling links on their templates. I was wondering if you sell a link on a template, after someone buys the template, can they delete the link? Or how does it work?

Those templates are not for sale. They are released for free - people download and use them for free keeping the links in the footer.
So basically if you sponsor a template and it is downloaded and used by 100 websites your link is in all of them. If every one from those 100 websites has at least 10 pages...here you go...you have 1000 backlinks

How much do they generally go for?

 

im a theme designer and i put links for sale,the links generally costs between $15 - $100
depending of the theme quality
