I need an explanation on this. I do a search for seo books and seobook.com is the top Sponsored link and the #1 organic spot. Why would Aaron Walls pay to have his site at the top when it already gets the top spot naturally? It seems like wasted money. I also saw this when I typed in cpanel. Paid inclusion and #1 organic spot. What's up with that?
He gets more traffic that way... Let's say the #1 organic spot gets 60% of all traffic, and the #1 paid spot gets 5% then together they get %65.. If paying what he is paying per click is worthwhile for him then it doesn't make a difference where he ranks for the organic results...
True. Not a waste of money. Ofcourse you must calculate those clicks and their cost. If it's it's too expensive maybe you should drop it. Generally - I agree with edcpartners.
Some times sponsored listing converts more than the Organic listings and that is also one more of branding.
