Sponsor WP theme??

    Hmm now i know whats WP and WP Themes..but i just dont get it when someone creates a BST thread asking for Sponsoring for XX$ for a link..

    what is this for lol..i am bit newbie in this...i mean Link in the Blogroll?

    And why is it so much sought after usually??

    Usually the link is put in the footer of the theme. If the theme is popular that means a lot of backlinks.

    WP is gaining popularity as the number of blogs increase. A good theme will have a huge number of downloads, and if you have your link in there, it would mean traffic and a huge number of backlinks for you
