I have known a guy for a couple of years now.. He has alot of money. Obviously everytime we are talking , he asks me of my ideas and my opinions.. Generally on/for net. When I was talking to him a few days ago, he said that if I could come up with a good project, he will invest money according to business plan. I do have a few ideas, but they are basically to small or not that important to him. He says he can invest upto 40-50k. None of my ideas are falling in to his interest. What I am basically asking is I have no idea what to take to this guy.. So though some of you might.. I also have no idea of how it would work, regarding profit/loss, legal sides or any other matter. So if you know something please get in touch with me. maybe there is a way..
If you don't have an idea already, nor have any idea about all aspects of what he would be investing his money in, don't you think it would be wiser to be honest and tell him that you have some SMALL ideas that would not require that much investment? If he doesn't think they are important, well me, I wouldn't chance putting myself in a position to cause someone else to lose that amount of money. And if others have ideas that would require that kind of investment, if they are GOOD ideas....they probably wouldn't share their ideas with someone they do not know. They would use the ideas themselves and find their own investors I would think. If they are bad ideas, you wouldn't want them anyways would you? Here's a tip, Universities....and something BIG that will catch like fire just as blogs did, like myspace did (it won't be that big but it will be bigger than blogs) and like youtube did. I would say it will be a common practice in 1 to 2 years, not only for online marketers but large corporations as well. If you do enough research, you will find out what it is. I am not going to tell you what it is, I would be stupid to do that, but you can find it if you look hard enough.
Thanks for your honest opinion.. I do think like you do.. I have great ideas too.. But If I knew that I had no chance of achiving into reality ie:required budget, I would have perhaps just talked about it. in 97 I was planning to build nationwide ticket sales site, in 98 fining jobs.. These were actually created or started, but never achived the goal. Then big guys done it and here they are.. I guess I told him that I might not be his guy, but perhaps I can find an idea sometime soon.
Wow hasbehas, you're in a very unique position! you have an angel investor and no project!! Have you though about creating a small 'think tank' of trusted associates to come up with something?
Yeah.. Tell me about it.. What do you mean by think tank..?? Open up a thread and get ideas ? Well.. I do have a few trusted associates, and they could not come up with something. This worries me...
