Hi there, I'm trying to found out which one of the 2 programs people have used & which one they like the best & why, or maybe they use something else. http://www.splittestaccelerator.com/ http://www.multitrackgenerator.com/ Thanks Michelle
Why did you add a link to one of those spammy sites that try to sell something that is worth $0.00 ? I call them "fake software box sites" since they always seem to have a picture of a fake box of software.
clicktracks Pro has a split testing option that is very good. If you use clicktracks for tracking then you have a ton of information about the pages being tested. I think the easiest way to split test in general is to deliver a 50/50 split of the different pages to your visitors. You can use a script to give a different page to each user. Make sure that returning visitors get the same page each time which you can use cookies to do. Then, just use some general tracking software to compare the conversions and actions of users on each page. Also make sure you only make one change at a time. Multi-variable testing is pretty much impossible. I would suggest sampling a decent number of visitors to accurately determine the better page. Don't just test for a day and decide.
Yeh that seems to complicated. I'm looking at an already made program like the ones I mentioned. Thanks Michelle
If you're still looking for split testing software, you might try these guys: SiteSpect Offermatica LC
Ahh, good questions... I have not used either of them personally, but one of my larger customers is using SiteSpect for its multivariate testing features, and this is why I'm familiar with them. Although this was before the customer hired me for SEO, I believe they trialed SiteSpect and several others, and made the selection because it was the only one that was compatible with their e-commerce system. But - FYI - I think they are paying many $1,000's per month, so it isn't exactly a low-cost option! Good luck! LC
Vertster is the least expensive solution I've found.... Offermatica et al won't talk to you unless you got mucho bucks...
Aha, I just checked out Vertster... and yes it does seem to be cheap compared with the others. Well whatever you choose, let us know how you fare! LC
