Spent Hours Creating Backlinks?

    Hi,

My URL is about 2 weeks old. It has been indexed for over a week. I have spent over 50 hours submitting to directories, submitting to search engines, blog commenting, forum posting, submitting articles, submitting to social bookmarking sites (like Digg). How come I still have 0 backlinks? I thought Google crawled every 2 days or so. I used a backlink checking site and it says I have total of 5 backlinks and 0 on Google. Have I been sandboxed? If so, how long before my site is put back up?

    Thanks

    Hey,

I would say there are a couple of reasons why.. first is that since it's so new that it hasn't had time to update quite yet. Secondly It could have been sandboxed.. though I doubt it. Just wait a week or two

That's what I was thinking. However, on a few of my other sites that I did SEO with, I was seeing results rather quickly. I hope it's not sand boxed.

    Actually I was using backlinkwatch.com

This still is not showing my backlinks.

I'm hoping that it will be a matter of time for it to show up.

    Thanks

I would definitely say build at a slower process... 50 hours straight of backlinking isn't good for the search engines at all.

Hi! this is Jenny.i have seen your details. well i am sorry but i am certain that your site may go to sandboxes. as this is fact that google take some tme to index all new entries but if it is going more than sufficent time like your's. then it means that something got wrong with that .
any way wait till one more week.

Can you check your backlinks in google webmaster tool? try this. And then your site very new, so, you can wait more sometimes.

I have been doing link exchange with pr2 + sites. They still have not shown up either. I will wait 1 more week and continue to pound away with my SEO. Let's see what happens? :)

this is a myth, you can get thousands of new backlinks and day and google won't bat an eye.

I would check your links in google webmaster tools if you're really that worried about it.

I agree with you Loco. If you look at the top sites with popular niches. You will see that they have over 1 million backlinks. Do you really think they built it up slow? Exactly :)

Back links on google takes lot of time to show up.

To check if your website is sandboxed or no, do a google search with site:yourwebsite.com, where replace yourwebsite.com with the domain name.

If your website doesnot throw any results you are sandboxed or not.....

Dont worry buddy wait one or two weeks more. Same thing was happened with my site. After two weeks everything would be fine. Plus different backlink checkers shows different results.
