There are lots of videos on you tube about adwords, so you can check that, also look in your campaign statistics for which time in a day you sell most and then adjust campaign that way.

you should have about 5-10 adgroups with 15-20 keywords each. Watch which keywords are getting clicks, get rid of the ones with low conversion rates and you should start to build up a nice profit. Btw loss of $18 is not that bad. Usually you want to make changes to your keyword selection the after the second of third day because it will give you a good idea of what is working and what is not. Thats why you have to have good keyword selections in low bid programs. If you are going to jump into a market like ringtones then you have to start bidding high and have some money to blow. But at the same time you have to really watch which keywords are converting. Hope this helps.
