I think logo should be different something related to trip and travelling also home page looks empty only 1 line description is not sufficient, add some more description...
I think the idea is lovely, but you have serious info arch issues. I am a web savy parent, and your homepage is confusing. I do not know why I am being shown a map of the world. Clicking on it does not bring me to the country of choice. The bottom bar isn't clear as to what input you require. Do you want countries, types of activities, colors? I'd prefer to have "All Attractions" be the homepage, because at least it is clear what is going on there. However as the site gets larger, it will be a nightmare to navigate. You should consider putting a rating system, and time stamp. This way you can present the latest and top rated attractions. Or (depending on your programming skills) locate where your viewers live, and list the attractions for their country by default. As for design, over all it's laid out well. You could stand to make it more "fun", since the subject is places for kids, but the target audience is the parents... so it isn't a must. Good luck and great idea.
It have been a while and I have changed some parts of the site according to your advices. Special thanks to xira as she gave a really nice review of the site. If you have some additional ideas or comments please let me know. Jan
the site is just un organized. The best thing to do is look at other sites that are similar to yours and see what they do best and try to emulate them.
Actually I tried to emulate similar sites at least parts I liked. Can you please give me more ideas what would you like improve? Thanks, Jan
The header looks fairly pixelated which just makes the site look bad. The menu could use a nice hover effect (even if its just changing the background colour and text colour, i'd usually make the text bold on hover as well). The text all seems a bit large. I'd do some kind of customization on the links (change of colour to suit the site at least).
It took quite a while for the site to load, and I'm on a really high-speed connection. You need to fix it so the browser box on your home page does not have the word "home" in it twice. Right now, it says: http://spenddaywithkids.com/home/home Why would I want to use this site? What is it for? How would it enhance my life? I would rather have a short video of you telling me how you could solve my problem rather than the big map.
