There could be a lot of softwares you can find on the net to submit site to directories, but they are not recommended. It is still best to submit sites manually. You can find a lot of free directories on the internet. It may take more time to submit manually, but could be worth it.

Thx for the info. I've been trying to speed up the manual link submission process. Took me a good 30 min to Cut-N-Paste 4 sites into 10 directories each day.

    Will test out roboform tonite.

    Submissions should be done manually,imho.
But sometimes doing, submissions manually, are worth it,cause it gives you time to check out the directory that you are submitting to and make sure it is has a good rep and PR.Otherwise your website links, will get lost in a sea of links relevant to your site.

Tools like IBP (Internet Business Promoter) provide automatic, semi-automatic and manual directory submissions. A good thing might be to try out a trial version.

I'm looking for a software that does this task. Have you tried this IBP before @rosie? If yes, how much is the fee.

IBP does a lot of things.. at $250 price tag.

I've just tried out RoboForm. You Just need to spend some time to configure the initial profile. Filling form is a 2 steps "Right Click > Select Profile" process. Took me less than a minute to submit 4 links to the same directory. Great tool for $29.

That's because you are using the free trial version which limits what the software can do. I believe it limits you to the amount of automated form fields you can have and also the amount of profiles too.

I agree manual submit is the best way to go, but nothing hurts with having some help with filling out the fields for the submission. It definately saves you a lot of time when submitting.

Exactly. What we try to achieve here is semi-manual or semi-auto (which ever you prefer) submission. You still manually browse the link directory, only at point of form filling you use the tool to do the job. Believe me it cuts down the time and effort and you dont get bored of doing it repeatedly for the next 30 min.

TatiAnA, the free version restrict the custom field to 3 entries which should be sufficient for the job. Use it for
    Title
    Description
    Keywords

The Owner Name, Email and URL are already provided somewhere among the tabs.
