Speeding up DNS updates?

    Depends on the registrar, time of day, and other variables.
    For a long stretch, I would register a new domain at namecheap, set up the hosting, and in minutes be able to upload to the site.
    Then it took about 24-48 hours for the site to propagate throughout the net.

    Now it seems I can register a new domain at namecheap, set up the hosting, then have to wait up to 24 hours to upload to the site.

    Registering domains at Yahoo I've noticed I can upload within an hour or so
