Speed is Important - Free Speed Test for Your Site

    You should be concerned about the speed of your website, what with the new updates coming.

    I found this free site that checks your website every 10 seconds or so and gives you an average speed of your site.

    Give it a go and tell us the score!

    Mine was roughly 2 seconds - is this considered slow? :confused:

    google webmaster tools inside also has a new tool, it checks for speed and gives advices on optimization... there are also several firefox plugins. My site is very slow :) I'm trying to optimize it but it drags behind, google tells me it's slower then 82% of sites... which is VERY BAD! but that's expected from a photography blog I guess...

    p.s. that site doesn't work for pages that escape frame with java.

    It seems forums can really slow a website down, does anyone have any tips to speed up a forum's load time?

    Well, it keeps changing. Like once it was 17 and next time 5 seconds. :eek:

    And for another one its 3.92 seconds.
