Specific Targeted Traffic

I was wondering if anyone has used targeted mailing lists. I have been thinking about this as an avenue of driving more traffic to my sites. The problem is that the only opinions I can find are from people selling the lists or people promoting them. I was hoping someone here can help me with making the decision of whether to use them or not.

Yeah man! Using a list is probably the best possible way to make money online, especially for the long term. It can set up a list of customers to sell to again and again and again. You should definitely check out the product INSIDETHELIST by the Wealthy Affiliates kyle and carson, it's the best manual on creating lists for profits out there.

    Good luck dude.

Don't buy lists, those are way too spammy and don't work well generally. What you need are e-mails to which the owner specifically checked off an interest and such (much like what they submit when joining a membership to a site)

You shouldn't buy a list, those are typically spammy and don't work very well. Instead you should build your own list. Inside The List is a great ebook that will teach you how to do it.

But building your own list is very difficult unless you have a community to which you can ask them to complete surveys.. or a mailing list..

Someone I respect very much used targeted mailing lists with great success for a while. He's since stopped using them although not sure if it's because he has too much on his plate or if it just stopped working. He also contacted magazines who would send out his solo ads to their subscribers. That worked like gangbusters for him.

N.B. Just to be clear, when I said magazines, I meant just that and not e-zines. I'm talking about regular, real world magazines who have subscribers opt-in to the magazine's email list.

Over 50% of the names on the list will either not even open your e-mail, they gave a fake e-mail address to begin with (Those ridiculous squeeze pages get a lot of them.), or they have long since moved on to another e-mail address. Yahoo and G-mail accounts are such examples many people use and throw away like they are nothing.

The only way to know for sure is to find out on your own.

Find the service you want to buy from, do a search to see if they are legit, and don't pay no more than $100.
