Hello all, I just finished coding a very customized WP... and now I am working with a designer for the design.. I basically coded a child theme for Twenty Ten with many new custom functions, and now I want to make it look good and unique. The designer that I am working with is VERY talented, but has never designed for WP, so he asked me to find out if there is anything that he needs to keep in mind, or if he can just design whatever he wants in a PSD... In other words, I have 2 questions: 1) Can a complex PSD be easily converted to be used as a WP theme? 2) Is there anything that a designer should keep in mind when creating a PSD design that will be used in WP? I am not a designer, so I don't know anything about it... So, feel free to mention things that would otherwise be assumed by someone who knew the basics. As soon as I have an answer to those, he will be able to start working on the design, so I would TRULY appreciate a prompt response... unless of course if the answers are complex... and in that case, I just may have to use a different designer who is familiar with WP... but I would really rather not do that since the person I am talking to is really talented as I mentioned above.
