Allright. This is not an ordinary review :)

I have been laughing a lot on DP today and testerday so when I made my latest site it got a touch of humor on it.

My question is if it is good or bad.

    http://www.axeq.com

Intro text and the submission guidelines.

    Thanks.

The humour reads fine but I think the biggest joke is a $10 submission fee for a directory with no listings yet.

The intro text is quite funny I must say. :)

It might give the wrong impression to people who want to add a link there though. But then again, it might be a diamond in the rough. :)

    ...but quite funny...

I just noticed the fee and I think dct is right on that one.

I know I know. It is not released yet. When it goes to PR 5-6 I will release it.

I wanted it to be a bit special from all the other couple of hundred dirs out there.

I only asked about the humor on the guidelines and the intro text. Also the 10$ is per lifetime which is a bit funny.

I would correct some of the grammar issues--if that matters to you.

When used properly, humor is perfectly fine. Asking others is the right step too.

Ok have changed some things on the intro text. If still grammar errors I would be happy to get a PM. English is my secondary language.

So did you think it was used properly in this case?

I love spoofy sites, but to be honest, I read that and it made me go "ah, ok, onto the next site then..." - so maybe its not doing the job you hoped. I think you need to rethink your unique selling point ;)

I think breaking up the first paragraph will make it easier to read. Maybe something like this:

AXEQ.com is a unique directory. Unlike many others, this one has very few listings and is almost completely useless to the average visitor. It does look very nice though...

I find myself having to re-read the intro just to make sure I understand it right.

Ah ok. Well, it is still important to use proper English--unless you want to tell each visitor that it is your second language :D

    Here is one example:

Blue Pens, Red Pens and Bouncing Balls IS ALLOWED. (Wrong)

    It should say ARE ALLOWED.

    Good Luck

Ok, I have changed the grammar.

I am still in doubt wether or not I should keep this. If I take away the humor and make it more professional it would look stupid with zero listings - even though it has PR 5 or 6.
