You guys think $500 is too high for this name.

My goal is to save everyone time, isn't it frustrating to bid on a name at $50 when the owner has no intention of selling for that price? I just want to fair to the forum members and start near a price I would consider. I think some people would appreciate that, don't you agree?

I like sitepoint also but it can be hit or miss there.

Exactly. The domain is definitely worth $500 plus to the right buyer.

Also I don't think $500 for a domain is much at all here. And Sitepoint, although ok for some things I think the domain forums and DP are as good if not better.

I have sold 4 and 5 figure domains via DP and DNF but never at SP.

Now for my question. Is $500 anywhere near your BIN?

    Thanks

    John

    Hey John,

First, thanks for the kind and accurate comments.

On to your next question, the BIN. I'm very open, testing the market value through actual bids.

The the right end user, like a Vonage or Cisco this domain is great and highly valuable.

With the reseller/forum market, I'm interested to see what kinds of offers I get.

John, I think your knowledgeable in this business, I would be grateful if you placed the first real offer in the thread. In either case I appreciate the sincerity of your comments and how they directly relate to the sale of the domain in this forum. Cheers,

    Paul

Thank you for the offer. I have received several $500 offers in thread and PM so that's why I upped the minimum offer to $1000 with a $3000 BIN to see if we can get closer to closing on this today. Cheers,

That's ok, but maybe if you try something else like SitePoint you can get much more than that. ;)

Why do you guys always recommend SitePoint? I have used SP but what is it in here, does nobody buy domains at $1000 and up?
