I'm adding spanish to my site. Spanish often has accents over the letters. Look at the URL on this page. http://www.norcalcars.com/Articles-Spanish/SeguroAutomóvilCuota.aspx The o has an accent over it. This accent appears to be part of the normal spanish spelling of the word. When I add it to the URL, it at times shows up in a browser as an o with the accent over it, at times it has this %C3%B3. From an SEO point of view, is this likely to confuse the browsers? If I do it as a normal o without the accents will Google understand this as the same word as with the accents. Anyone have any experience with this?
Looks like you might be right. I did a google search for Español. It looks like the bigger sites (like yahoo) use the regular n in the URL and then the correct n in the page title and in the text on the page. Not sure if it would be best to change my current URLs or leave them and just use regular characters in the future. Thanks
