Spanglish vs. Proper Spanish for a Website

    Hello,

    I have the following case:

I need to target Californian Mexican audience, and I am wondering if the content should be written in Spanglish or proper Spanish language.

My concerns are that if I go for proper Spanish it could probably be not too appealing to the audience, and they would probably not be searching for the same keywords as in the content.

On the other hand, if I use Spanglish, Google might penalize the website for poor content quality.

Does someone have experience with that? Please, let me know what you think the better solution would be.

    Thanks,
    Nyagoslav

What do you mean by Spanglish? I assume you mean conversational Spanish, rather than an actual Spanish/English mix?

Yep, by Spanglish I mean the colloquial Spanish of the Mexican American community in California. By proper Spanish, I mean the normal, literature Spanish language.
