Span suggestions are black hat?

I was editing an article in "Google documents" and, I don't know when, but probably after spell-checking, I've noticed this in my HTML:

    <span suggestions="Lilly,Lolly,Lully,lolly,Lily" class="misspell">lilly</span>-of-the-valley...
    Code (markup):
This was added to several other words. Now what? Is this black hat? I mean - are these hidden misspelled words? Or this has any value in search engines? I've discovered one great misspelled word with >1000 searches/day, so if I add it in HTML this way, this is OK?

I would avoid this if you enjoy being in search results.
