    Hi All

I've recently experienced an increased surge in spamming in the forums on my site and all the spammers seem to register with a "goodgrants.info" address.

Just wondering if anyone else has had experience with this or if anyone knows anything about it? These person/people seem to be pretty blatant, they're even trying to post things while I'm visibly online.

I know a friend that is also in the scene of the internet.

He recieved spamming from a similiar address, but that was about a month ago. Really bugged him.

Yeah, it's just endless spamming on different topics. Mainly porn and auto insurance... and always from . It's getting really annoying having to watch over the site constantly.

With the amount of spam they've been laying on my forums I'm assuming it's happening to other places as well

Yes, more then there should be. Sadly, spammers will always be online these guys need to be reported some how. I don't think "spamming" of a website, is acutally a true legal offence, otherwise you could report them.

However, may finding out their website host, you can report them, and surely some type of outcome could happen, that'll work in your favour?

How long do you reckon it will take these spammers to give up? They have been swamping the boards for weeks now. I remove their posts as soon as they add them but they keep doing it.

Surely they'll have to give up at some point? What's the point of them continuing to spam when none of their links stay up

I think those are bots posting in your forum. What forum software are you using? Maybe you can install a mod/pugin that can stop those spammers from posting
