Spammer Attack On Yahoo Mail

Has anyone suffered spammer attack on yahoo mail today ..

cause i got around 80,000 mails just in one day in my accounts and my account has been suspended.All the emails are from date Tue, 1/19/2038

It says as below:
To protect you, your account has been suspended from sending, saving, and receiving mail for up to 48 hours

Anyone suffered this today..

 

this is really unbelivable 80000 mails in a day.

i also don't have idea ....all are full of sexy girls pic and email title is like: %%%%%%%%%%%

 

thats not a big secret if ymail is to easy to accept spam message
i got 150++ spam message everyday in my bulk folder

 

Nope. I havent. Maybe you open another spam email which led to this attack.

 

Sorry about that i been getting alot of junk mail on my yahoo account also and i never give my email to anyone only my family and friends and i still get spam mail i hope you get your account fixed.

 

Man, that's alot of Spam! Maybe you pissed off someone? Just asking.

You really need to take precautions from now on.

 

WOW 80,000 spam messages???? Crazy! I get about 20 a day but they all go in my bulk folder. I'm actually pretty impressed lol!

 

A few lines of code is all thats needed to send 80,000 emails within the hour to any single targetted email address.

If I hated you, and knew your email address, I would know exactly how to do this to you.

 

That's horrible. How we can prevent this?

oh i found out, actually i joined 100+ yahoo groups yesterday and i received message from those groups all spams...

 

Thats strange.. so they used to block mails for 48 hours? what about some important mails arriving at that time?

 

I hate Yahoo mail, all you get is spam, and lots of it

 

Not necessarily spams. Could be discussions between members in those yahoogroups, they're sent as a "newsletter" to all members who opted in receiving emails.

I myself am a member of about 5 yahoo groups, but preferred just visiting the yahoogroup site instead of receiving emails.

I checked my email account at charles@anonrecovery which is hosted at yaho and there were 5000 undeliverable emails coming back to my accountas if I had sent them. How did they get sent? There is nothing in my outbox.

 

Someone spoofed your email and sent out a ton of spam emails. It happens from time to time with people at work. Nothing you can really do except set up a rule to delete all of the returned undeliverable mails.
