On my business conference - http://www.conference.ge I have a code of conduct to which all the new members automatically agree to. And there is a provision, that I, as an administrator can send them email through the internal mailing system. Actually the other rules are pretty strict as well ... I usually use the forum's internal mailing system to send the e-mail to all the members instantly [approximately 3 times a week]. What I send out are site and other corporate news as well as use this system to distribute other related ads [I mean thematic, business related ads]. I have disabled all the forum generated emails in order not to bother the members. The members only get the email if 1) they have subscribed for a certain topic 2) if I send that email myself. All the mailings I do are justifies as all the members automatically agree to receive them when they register. But still, can these be perceived as SPAM? We have some hot discussions whether it is SPAM or not. My position is that as this is not SPAM as they agreed to receive the emails. Your oponions will be highly appreciated ... Thx
