Hello everyone! I'm looking for a forum script which could be easily moderated and offers enough spam protection as it is. I have a phpBB forum with some very persistent spammers there, I installed some mods but it doesn't seem to help, and it's a pain in the * to upgrade the script with all these mods installed. I would really need a script which could be easily updated. I guess it helps if it has some sort of mod installer incorporated in it its basic version. I looked a bit the SMF and it seems nice, what do you think?
I know there is a mods for PHPBB that can eliminate spammers. But you can buy VBulletin for your convenience.
I'm tired of phpBB. I'm tired of updating and tired of installing mods which don't work. Does anybody here have any experience with SMF (Simple Machines Forum)? I would prefer a free script if possible.
