hi i don't want to get sued for spam but i know there are legal ways to do this. there are lots of business on craiglist and i want to email them saying that "i saw their ad" in the subject i would put i saw their ad in the message i would tell them that i saw their ad and i think i can help their business grow if they use my service i can help them advertise their business a lot. now is this legal to do.. i know spam is when you harvest emails from web site but this is not harvesting exactly i am responding to an ad... i read their ad and i think i can help their business grows i want to email 1million people...
    1. is this considered spam ?
    2. how can i do it so that it is legal?
    3. is there any legal way of emailing business?
    4. for opt-in list do you know where i can get GOOD BUSINESS op-in list.. i am promoting only to businesses not consumers... anyone know where i can get list of business i can email to

If you are sending 1-to-1 emails to businesses, you are compliant with CAN-SPAM. If you are are harvesting and sending automated bulk emails, you are not complaint.

I can provide a good list broker that I've worked with in the past. PM me if you're interested.

Depends on the company you contact and how reputable your service is and such. But it's better to merely put up ads where your target businesses can see them and use other methods.

You want to send commercial emails to people that haven't requested emails from you.

That is pretty much the textbook definition of spamming.

    1. is this considered spam ?
    Yes.

    2. how can i do it so that it is legal?
You may keep it small enough to stay off the radar, but you are still sending unsolicited commercial e-mail.

    3. is there any legal way of emailing business?
You may use the available contact information for the provided purposes, but keep in mind that businesses are becoming increasingly hostile for having to bear your advertising costs (a.k.a. spam e-mails).

    4. for opt-in list do you know where i can get GOOD BUSINESS op-in list.. i am promoting only to businesses not consumers... anyone know where i can get list of business i can email to
Opt-in suggests that the business agreed to receive certain messages. No business knowingly accepts receiving advertising e-mails.
